James is a Melbourne based saxophonist specialising in original contemporary jazz.
His quartet, featuring Hugh Harvey (Drums), Tom Lee (Bass) and Hugh Stuckey (Guitar) is performing regularly around Melbourne. They have recently toured Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and country NSW. Their music has been heard on radio stations across the country, including the popular ‘Jazz-Track’ on ABC FM. The group plans to release a CD in 2009.
James’s other project, the groove based electro-jazz album “Virtual Proximity” is due for release in 2009.
James is also a member of the Paul Bender Quartet.
